The Elector's Bedroom was decorated with rich carvings and stucco work after 1760, to designs by Francois Cuvillies. This decor was destroyed in 1944.
The embroidered silk covering on the rear wall, made between 1784 and 1786 in Munich, was originally intended for the 'Bavarian Cabinet' in Koblenz Palace.
